Stephanie Schmid, Democratic candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 4th District, is endorsing Mayor Michael Bloomberg for President. Stephanie is the first Congressional challenger in the country who is endorsing Mayor Bloomberg. 

“Mayor Bloomberg has a strong record of listening to his constituents and working across the aisle to find solutions to his community’s most pressing challenges,” Stephanie said. “While the Democratic field has many strong candidates, Mayor Bloomberg has a reputation as a thoughtful and proactive leader. He is a strong voice for reproductive rights, gun safety reforms, and lowering healthcare costs—issues that are incredibly important to me as a human rights advocate. I am confident that Mayor Bloomberg will be able to unite our country and win in November, and I am proud to endorse him to be the next President of the United States.”

Stephanie is a New Jersey native, retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat who served her country overseas on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, as well as a human rights litigation attorney and former non-profit leader. She’s running to bring new leadership to Congress at a time when we need our leaders to solve pressing challenges and create opportunities for the people of New Jersey.
